Best Wishes to everyone for a Happy, Healthy, and Safe Holiday Season.

I’m at home, right where I ought to be, with my family chilliing out and resting up for 2007.  It’s going to be another wild year…….

See you down the road

Greetings from China

Filed under: General — Steve @ 3:52 pm

After 20+ hours of flying and a 6+ hour drive in pouring rain, I’ve made it to Taizhou City.

I’ll be working on Sunday at the MECA China Finals, directing the judges and competitors at a big car show in one of the beautiful parks here.  I’m hoping for good weather but it’s winter here and chilly and wet.

I’ll be back in Tennessee on Monday, 12/18, and will be finishing up the recording of “The Bikers Anthem” so that you can hear it by the end of the month.

Free “Bikers Anthem” Download

I’ve been working on a new “Bikers Anthem” recording and updating the tune I wrote in 1986.  Rick Otts in Hendersonville is working with me to capture the “essense” :) of the tune.  Rick plays banjo and will pluck it for the tune, along with adding vocals.  We’re also working with mandolin and fiddle parts to sew it up.  It should be a fun and it’ll be free, so it sounds like a good thing :)

It’s a remake of the 1988 45 rpm record - that’s right vinyl - that was a hit at rally’s, bike shows, and bars in W. PA and at H-D drag races around the country.

It’s going to be about 3:30 minutes long and we’ll have it available in different file formats.  You can take it on Poker Runs and Toy Runs and share it with your friends.

This version will be unique because it will have the original 3 verses plus the “outlawed” and controversial previously unrecorded 4th verse.  That’s all I can share for now, but it will be worth saving and sharing.

I’m leaving for Shanghai, China on Tuesday 12/12 and I’ll be back on 12/18.  We should have it ready by the end of the year.
