The Nashville Songwriter’s Festival was way cool

Filed under: General — Steve @ 5:38 pm

The 5th Nashville Songwriter’s Festival was a blast for everyone who made the trip to Music Row to participate and check it out.

I had a good time working at the Information Table at the retreat and the 3 days of performances.  Meeting lots of cool people was one of my goals, and I got that covered, in spades!

Thanks to Popcorn and Regina Robertson for organizing the event and working so hard to keep it pure and independent.  The Nashville songwriting community really owes these folks a big “Thank You”!

I’m looking forward to the 6th event and I’m going to do everything I can to support it and help it grow.  I’ll post info about what’s going on as plans are confirmed for Father’s Day weekend 2008.

Filed under: General — Steve @ 4:43 pm

The June 15th chart is out and “I Know How to Love” is on the Country Up & Coming chart.

Thanks to Bill Wence Promotions for working hard to make this happen with  Country Radio.

This song really touches people and I’m glad to be able to share it with Country Radio listeners.

Where to find me at the Songwriter’s Festival on Music Row

Filed under: General — Steve @ 7:02 am

I’ll be working in the  Info/Check-in Booth on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so that should be easy to find.  It’s in the Curb Records parking lot at 47 Music Sq. E.  My time slots there are 2:30 - 8 PM.

My playing times and locations are:

Saturday
8 PM - American Songwriter Stage - 50 Music Sq. W (same as 17th Av. S)

Sunday
3 PM - American Songwriter Stage - 50 Music Sq. W (same as 17th Av. S)

There are 4 stages with songwriters going at the same time.  The list of talent in most impressive.

See you there.
